What is Prizecart?
Prizecart is a loyalty and promotions platform for businesses. We work with shopping centres, retailers and online brands to help them grow their revenue and marketability, using promotional tools such as quests, achievements and trade promotions.
What does it cost?
Online, listing is free and you pay only your existing affiliate commission on tracked sales. In-store, there is no setup fee and no monthly fee: retailers and chains pay a 5% marketing fee on each receipt a Prizecart shopper scans, an early-bird rate (usually 7%). For shopping centres, every store in the centre is included at no cost, and we plan each launch with the centre: tell us about yours and we’ll put a plan together.
Who pays for the prizes?
Prizecart does. The prizes are declared up front, funded by us and paid to every winner.
Do I need new hardware or a POS integration?
No. In-store, the app reads the receipt you already print or email and matches it to your shop by your ABN and receipt number. Online, orders track through your existing affiliate program. Nothing plugs into your till or your site.
Do shoppers pay anything?
No. Prizecart is free for every shopper and sells nothing to them. Shoppers enter a promotion by buying from you at normal prices, because you are the benefiting business.
Do I have to change my prices?
No. Shoppers buy at your normal prices, and prices can’t be raised for a promotion.
Who runs the promotion?
Prizecart is the promoter, and you are the benefiting business. We publish the terms, lodge the promotion with the states that require it, pay the winners and keep the records. It is run for the benefit of your business, with your written consent to take part and partner with Prizecart, so you can advertise it to your customers and boost your revenue.
Is this legal?
Yes. It’s a trade promotion run by Prizecart under the relevant state permits and federal law, including NSW Authority TP/04786, with published terms. Each promotion is separate, with its own dates, prizes and terms. Your business advertises it, and the promotion is run to benefit your business. The winners and the records sit with us, so you can outsource the whole promotion and not have to worry about it.
How does Prizecart make money?
Businesses pay us, and shoppers never do. Shopping centres pay a platform fee, retailers pay a marketing fee on Prizecart sales, online brands pay commission on sales, and brands can sponsor prizes.
Will a prize promotion cheapen my brand?
Nothing comes off your price. Customers buy at your normal prices and the prizes sit on top, in the Prizecart app. It’s the same collect-and-win idea the country’s biggest retailers run.
I already run a points card or app. Can I use both?
Yes. The receipt is the only thing we read, so Prizecart runs alongside whatever you already have.
What stops someone scanning the same receipt twice?
Each receipt number from your shop can be claimed once, receipts expire after a set window and every account has a daily scan cap. Anything that doesn’t add up is rejected.
Can I leave?
Any time. Tell us and we’ll take your shop off the map, or your store out of the app. Customers keep the pieces they’ve collected.
